A Modern Renaissance Christmas Assignment (using Photoshop)

This project is inspired by another teacher's assignment called the Renaissance Poster Assignment. However instead of creating a poster on the works of one Renaissance artist, your challenge will be to create an original collage on the following topic: A Modern Renaissance Christmas.

A link to the requirements for the above assignment is here.

A link to the collage tips article is here.

Complete the following Photoshop tutorials:

Tutorial #1 Use images from your research to practice the following skills: lasso, feathering.

Tutorial #2 Instead of a map, choose an interesting  "Renaissance" texture to use as a background for your work.

Tutorial #3 Use images from your research to practice the following skills: posterize,  contrast, levels.

Tutorial #4 Use images from your research to practice using the clone stamp.

Tutorial #5 Use images from your research  to practice the following skills: smudge, colour replacement, gradient)

The completed assignment is due on Friday, December 18th.

How to Remove Highlighting in Blogger

After a lot of trial and error (emphasis on error), I finally found a way to successfully remove the highlighted text on a blog post. Once the text is highlighted, Blogger will not allow you to remove it...unless you remove from the HTML formatting. Watch the video to learn how:

Additional Element of Line Information

Some students expressed some confusion today on how to apply expressive lines in their artwork. Please visit the following line tutorial for more instruction about using line in your artwork: Line Tutorial

The following images are great examples (from famous artists) of the expressive qualities of lines in artwork. I hope they provide inspiration for your work :)
